Silver Mirror Test

Image
The  most astonishing thing about chemistry is it's practical approach, one can support the theoretical structure of the reaction via experimental proofs.  One such very beautiful reaction is Tollen’s reagent test or  silver mirror test which give confirmation for the aldehydes and distinguish them from other carbonyl compounds like ketone and acids.  Ammonical silver nitrate solution is termed as Tollen’s reagent which in the basic medium reacts with Free H of aldehydes gp and gives beautiful Ag (Silver) deposit across the test tube. Here in the picture beautiful description of the Ag formed is given via comparing normal test tube with Ag coated tubes.

Three  years almost on the roll ever since the world's biggest disaster of the century took place. We all across the globe are on the mode of recovery and guess what  somehow recovered from all kind of inflation.  It's always a good thing to remember "tough time teaches you best lessons" Same with that time too, well to begin with the blog utilizing that time many people among us across the globe from every continent almost achieved the best version of themselves. That was seriously the best of the time when you can really explore yourself in terms of new skills, hobbies, activities, blogs, vlogs, podcasts and so many other platforms. Sometimes we always think that whatever they have achieved we can't or we are too late for it now, coz it's really difficult for us to cope up with the pace of life and also to start from the scratch #level 0.0  Keeping yourself busy with the hobby is one of the best way to channelise the energy in u. Its just the matter of righ...

Study v/s Stress

Image
Ever since I have started about my journey as a teacher or educationist or academician wow so amazing adverbs to describe what I'm doing, so funny... But let's focus what i have been observing since the little journey of my teaching experience since 2010, the education and it's most important factor study becomes so much from fizz to hitz over the decade. I'm pretty much sure we all have been through the technological transformation era due to COVID-19 , We all had suffered a lot in terms of emotional as well as mental health trauma, not only we had suffered but students also suffered alot. It's the hell of the task we all had been through the level of stress been at peak and there is no hope whatsoever, the exams trauma and the result scenario already plays the havoc situation in the life of students already all over the globe ,  the situation of India after back to back 2 waves of COVID is slightly off track but we all are managing hard to make it look...

Laws of Chemical combination

Image
In order to study the fundamental basics of Compound formation scientists had collected some laws , which stood the basic part and foundation of Chemical compound formation... The main laws are . Law of conservation of mass  . Law of Definite Proportions . Law of Multiple Proportion  . Law of Reciprocal Proportion  Let's have a look what they have to say  1st Law " According to the law of conservation of mass, the mass of the products in a chemical reaction must equal the mass of the reactants." 2nd Law "In chemistry, the law of definite proportion, sometimes called Proust's law or the law of definite proportion, or law of constant composition states that a given chemical compound always contains its component elements in fixed ratio (by mass) and does not depend on its source and method of preparation." Example 👇 3rd Law "The law of multiple proportions, states that when two elements combine to form more than on...

As the CBSE syllabus has been slightly changed for classes 9-12 due to the school closure because of the Coronavirus lockdown, we got talking to a CBSE board examiner about the kind of changes seen in the Class 11-12 Physics syllabus for 2020-21. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has slightly changed the 2020-2021 syllabus for classes 9 to 12 because of the long period that schools need to remain shut due to the Coronavirus lockdown till May 3, causing problems with the time required by teachers to complete their syllabus in class. NCERT has come up with a new academic calendar as well as per the HRD Ministry's orders. The changed CBSE syllabus has fewer activities and practical work since this is something that cannot be carried out via the online classes that CBSE schools are holding to make sure studies don't come to a standstill with the Coronavirus pandemic. We have for you here the changes in the Physics syllabus of classes 11 and 12 as explained...

#Halo_Alkanes & Halo_Arenes

Image
HALOALKANES The compounds of hydrocarbons (saturated) containing Halogen (X) attach with them in SP 3 Hybridisation state is known as “ HALOALKANES ”  They are considered to be ionic in nature because of the presence of Halogen gp attached.  They can be categorised into following three types depending upon the number of #Alkyl gps attached with the Carbon bonded to Halogen directly. Chemistry of HALOALKANES in terms of their physical properties is not much complex, their Physical properties are; • Melting and Boiling points • Density  • Solubility , etc... Boiling point of HALOALKANES is higher , if the molecules mass of the compound is high. Usually the increase in branching decreases the surface area and thus decrease the boiling point too.

#Nuclear_charge...

Image
The term nuclear_charge is use to define the effective force over the outermost electron present in the valence shell of an atom. The consideration of #Nuclea r_charge is just as an imaginary line if force which tends to hold up the electrons more effectively so that the magnitude of # Atomic_size decrease and this in turn affects the other # periodic_properties of the elements. With the increasing value of #Nuclear_charge the inward pull💪 to the electrons increases and thus size decreases.👇👇

Nucleophilic substitution reactions...

Image
A chemical reaction is said to Nucleophilic type if the attack of a positive charge loving specie takes place over it. There are generally two types of reactions for this category ; ● SN1 reaction ● SN2 reaction # SN1 》a reaction is said to be SN1 type if it does involves the nucleophilic substitution by unimolecular type. In SN1 reactions the generation of carbocation takes place in the very first step then the attack of nucleophile takes place. They involves the complete retention of symmetry. Although inversion of symmetry also occur but the major product is always with the retention of symmetry... It involves the presence of Base in the first step. The order of reactivity is 3°>2°1 ° since the carbocation generation occur. # SN2 》a reaction is said to be of SN2 type if it does involves the nucleophilic substitution of bimolecular type. This reaction is of 1 step only since the attack of nucleophile as well as the removal of le...

Nucleic Acids

Image
Nucleic Acids are defined as the biomolecules, polymers present in the living system. They are also called #polynucleotides since the repeating unit of nucleic Acids is nucleotide. Each nucleotide is made up of three parts ● a sugar molecule           ●  a heterocyclic nitrogenous Base           ●   a phosphoric acid group Thus in general a nucleotide may be represented by the figure below  #MRM

Photoelectric effect...

Image
Photoelectric effect ; when light of certain frequency strikes the surface of a metal, electrons are ejected from the metal surface. This phenomena is called photoelectric effect.  Cesium, which amongst the alkali metals has the lowest ionisation energy is metal from which electrons are ejected most easily by light. This metal is used in making electric cells.  Observation regarding photoelectric effect are;  1) for each metal, a certain minimum frequency of incident light is needed to eject electrons. This is known as threshold frequency.  2) The no.of ejected electrons from metal surface depends upon the intensity of incident radiations.
